2.8 Connecting to E1/T1 Equipment
E1/T1 devices are connected to RICi-4E1/T1, RICi-8E1/T1 via 4 or eight balanced
RJ-45 ports. An unbalanced E1 interface is provided via the CBL-RJ45/2BNC/E1/X
RJ-45 to BNC adapter cable. Refer to
Appendix A for the connector pinouts.
³ To connect to E1 or T1:
• Connect an E1 or T1 line to an RJ-45 connector labeled E1 or T1
(1–4 or 8).
• For unbalanced E1 connections, use the RAD-supplied adaptor.
