Internal Jumpers
Access inside the equipment is only permitted to qualified and authorized
service personnel. To avoid the danger of electrical shock, always disconnect
the power cable from mains before opening the unit.
The SPS-6, SPS-12 main board has three internal jumpers, labeled J13, JP44 and
JP39. Refer to
Figure 2-2 (Figure 2-2 shows the SPS-12, but the internal jumpers
location for the SPS-6 is similar).
INIT-NOR jumper, JP39
This jumper is used to select the default set of configuration parameters stored in
SPS-6, SPS-12. The jumper has two possible positions:
NOR
Normal operation. SPS-6, SPS-12 uses the parameters selected by the user during
the last configuration session.
INIT
Initialization. At startup, the unit loads the default configuration (factory-set and
common to all SPS-6, SPS-12 units). To select the default configuration, refer to
the RAD Packet Switching Guide. The factory setting is NOR.
