6.4 Testing the Unit
Diagnostic capabilities of MiRICi-E3T3 include:
Activating loopbacks (local and remote)
Responding to T3 inband loopback activation code
Sending RDI or ASI signals to the TDM equipment.
Running Diagnostic Loopbacks
³ To run a loopback:
1. From the Diagnostics menu, select Loopback State, and choose the desired
loopback (Local or Remote).
2. In the Loop Time Out field, enter a period of time (in seconds), after which
the loopback is automatically disabled. Setting the timeout to 0 disables the
loop.
Only one loopback can be run at the time.

³ To disable a loopback:
From the Diagnostics menu, set the loopback state to Disable.
Local Loopback
MiRICi-E3T3 can be set to start a local loopback to test the connection between
the E3/T3 port and the host. In this mode, data coming from the host is both
looped back to the host and transmitted towards the WAN.
