4.3 Configuring the System Parameters
This section explains how to configure ETX-202 and LA-210 units. The
configuration procedure is similar for all units, except for defining different host
IP addresses. For an explanation of how to select management options and save
the changes, refer to the Installation and Operation Manual (hardware manual).
Configuring Host IP Parameters
You configure the host IP parameters for each unit using the terminal application
as explained in the Installation and Operation (hardware) manual.
³ To configure the host IP parameters:
Device Host IP IP mask Default Gateway
LA-210 172.17.182.22 255.255.255.0 172.17.182.1
DSLAM 172.17.182.23 255.255.255.0 172.17.182.1
ETX-202 (Client) 172.17.182.24 255.255.255.0 172.17.182.1
ETX-202 (Server) 172.17.182.13 255.255.255.0 172.17.182.1
1. At the terminal, display the Host menu (Configuration>System>Host), and
configure the IP address and the IP mask:
LA-210 host IP address – 172.17.182.22
ETX-202 (Client) host IP address – 172.17.182.24

Default gateway – 172.17.182.1
2. Save the changes.
Configuring ETX-202 Server and Client
In order to enable remote management of LA-210, you have to define a bridge
port that allows accessing LA-210 via ETX-202 Server. The Movie PC is connected
to ETX-Server’s port 1 and the management station is connected to ETX-202
Server’s user port 2 as illustrated in
Figure
4-2
. After configuring ETX-202 Server,
you will be able to remotely log on to LA-210 using RADview.
This application can use ETX-202 Version 3.5 or higher. Depending on the version
in use, available menu items may vary. Do not modify any settings if you have not
been instructed otherwise.
