Parameter Description
PCS (Physical Coding Sublayer) The SHDSL PCS number to be handled.
Admistrative Status Indicates whether the interface is up or down.
Operation Status The actual operational status of the SHDSL PCS
(Up or Down).
SHDSL Mode The SHDSL mode (STU-C or STU-R).
PSD Mask PSD (power spectral density) mask for the SHDSL line
(symmetric or asymmetric)
SHDSL Transmission Mode Contains the current Power Spectral Density (PSD)
regional setting of the SHDSL span (Annex A or Annex B)
Wiring Indicates the SHDSL port wiring (2 Wire, 4 Wire or 8
Wire)
Line State The current operational state (PreActivation, activation
or data transfer)
Line Rate The actual line rate (64 – 5696 kbps)
Curent Noise Marging The current SNR margin for this endpoint (0 – 15db)
Current Loop Attenuation The current loop attenuation for this endpoint (0 –
127db)
Displaying the SHDSL PCS Port Status
³ To display the SHDSL PCS port status:
1. From the SHDSL menu (Monitoring > Physical Ports > SHDSL), select Status.
The SHDSL Status screen appears (see
Figure
6-7
).
2. From the SHDSL menu (Monitoring > Physical Ports > SHDSL >Status), select
PCS.
The SHDSL PCS Status screen appears (see
Figure
6-7
). The parameters
are described in
Table
6-4
.
