Entering Device Information
The IPmux-8/16 management software allows you to assign a name to the unit and
specify its location to distinguish it from the other devices installed in your system.
Path: Main > Configuration > General Configuration.

To enter device information:
1. Follow the path above to display the General Configuration menu.
2. From the General Configuration menu, select System Name, and enter a
desired name for the IPmux-8/16 unit.
3. Select System Location, and enter the desired name for the current
IPmux-8/16 location.
Transferring Files
This section presents procedures for downloading and uploading application,
configuration, boot, LAN codes and user files. The files are transferred via
XMODEM or TFTP.
Transferring Files via XMODEM
Path: Main > Configuration > General Configuration > Download/Upload >
Download/Upload using XMODEM.

To transfer files using XMODEM:
1. Follow the path above to display the Download/Upload Using XMODEM
menu (see
Figure 4-24).
