6-8 Connectivity Tests RICi-E3, RICi-T3 Ver. 1.0
Loopback Test
This diagnostic utility executes either a remote or local loopback test. The
purpose of these loopback tests is to determine the source of a break in the data
flow.
To execute a loopback test:
1. From the Diagnostics menu, select Loopback.
The Loopback menu appears as illustrated in
Figure 6-7
.
2. From the Loopback menu, select Loopback State.
Remote: perform remote loopback
Local: perform local loop
Disable: disable loopback testing.
3. Set the Loopback timeout in seconds to a value between 0 and 3600.
0 means loopback forever!
