FCD-E1 Data Channel Connector A-9
X.21 Data Channel
The following sections provide information on the cables required to connect
user’s equipment to the X.21 channel in the various timing modes.
DCE Mode
This mode is used to connect to user’s equipment with X.21 DTE interface. The
X.21 cable coming from the user’s equipment is connected to the FCD-E1
CHANNEL connector through an adapter cable. The adapter cable (see Figure A-3)
is terminated in a 25-pin male D-type connector at the FCD-E1 side, and a 15-pin
female connector at the user’s side. A suitable cable, designated CBL-HS2/X/1, is
available from RAD.
Cable wiring is given in Table A-8.
