MiTOP-E1/T1 can be configured to operate with or without the I

C cycle
stretching functionality. Refer to
Appendix C
for additional information.

C cycle stretching:
• From the Outband menu (Configuration > System > Management > Outband),
perform the following:
To enable I

C cycle stretching, select Normal.
To disable I

C cycle stretching, select Without Stretching.

4.2 Configuring MiTOP-E1/T1 for Operation
The recommended configuration procedure for MiTOP-E1/T1 includes the
following stages:
1. Configuring device-level parameters
2. Configuring the TDM interfaces at the physical level
3. Configuring the multiservice over PSN application (pseudowire and network
parameters).
Configuring the System-Level Parameters
The system-level parameters of MiTOP-E1/T1 include the following:
• Fault propagation
• Tx disable mode
• LOS behavior.
These parameters are configured via the System menu.
