MiTOP-E1/T1 Ver. 1.0 Status Parameters C-7
During the first five seconds after MiTOP-E1/T1 is inserted into the host SFP
socket, MiTOP-E1/T1 responds to I
2
C messages without using cycle stretching
functionality. After the first five seconds MiTOP-E1/T1 handles I
2
C messages
according to the configured I
2
C cycle stretching mode:
• Normal operation – MiTOP-E1/T1 users I
2
C cycle stretching. This is the default
mode.
• Without stretching – MiTOP-E1/T1 responds to messages from the host
without using cycle stretching functionality. This allows hosts that do not
support cycle stretching to operate successfully, with the minimum of error
cycles.
