Option Description
Cold Reset Device
The Cold Reset Device utility resets the entire D8E1T1 module including resetting the
framers and downloading the Xilinx software, and causes the D8E1T1 module to
initialize to its power-up configuration. During this boot-up cycle, no user data will
flow for about 30 seconds. Since the configuration resides on the System Manager
Controller, connections will be restored.
Warm Reset Device
The Warm Reset Device utility causes the D8E1T1 module to initialize to its power- up
configuration. A Warm Reset takes approximately 15 seconds, and does not reset
framers or download Xilinx software. During this boot-up cycle, no user data will flow.
Since the configuration resides on the System Manager Controller, connections will be
restored.
Board Status
The Board Status utility allows the administrator to put the D8E1T1 module In Service
or Out of Service.
Cold Reset Device
The Cold Reset Device utility is used to reset the entire D8E1T1 module including
resetting the framers and downloading the Xilinx software. It causes the D8E1T1
module to initialize to its power-up configuration, and during this boot-up cycle,
no user data will flow. Since the module configuration resides on the DSMC.2, all
connections will be restored.

interrupted; if possible use a Warm Reset for less interruption.
