Option Description
[1] CAS Multiframe
Injects a single MAS pattern error by performing a logical inversion of the first MAS bit
transmitted.
[2] Multiframe
MultiFrame Error - Causes Fs (T1 D4/SF and ESF) or MFAS (E1 CAS and NSA) by
logically inverting the next frame bit/word transmitted.
[3] PRBS
Injects a single PRBS error by logically inverting the next PRBS generator output bit.
[4] FBit
Injects a single frame bit error by performing a logical inversion of the next frame bit
transmitted.
[5] Frame Alignment
Forces a one-bit shift in the location of transmit frame alignment by deleting (or
inserting) one bit position from the transmit frame.
[6] Line Code
Violation
Injects a single Line Code Violation error.
[7] Bit Slip
Injects a bit slip error by deleting or repeating one data frame. The framer determines
in which direction the bit slip will occur.
[8] CRC
Injects a single CRC-6 (T1 ESF) or CRC-4 (E1 CAS/CRC and NSA/CRC) bit error by
performing a logical inversion of the next CRC bit transmitted.
[9] All
Injects all of the above errors concurrently (as applicable).
2. Once the appropriate hot key has been pressed, a prompt similar to
Figure 4-16 appears. It displays the type of error that will be inserted.
