Configuring the Station Clock
Transmitted data can be clocked either from an internal clock within the LRS-16,
or from an external clock via the SHDSL or E1 links.
³ To configure the clock source:
1. Navigate to Main Menu> Configuration> Physical Layer> Station Clock.
The Station Clock screen appears.
2. Set Rx Input Signal as G.703 (E1).
3. Set Tx Clock as Enable.
4. Set Mask Station Link Alarms as Enable (optionally).
5. Press <S> to save the changes.

Saving the Configuration File
Configuration files can be uploaded for storage and backup. We must save the
file containing all configured parameters of the LRS-16 on a PC.
Management software allows file transfer via TFTP only.
³ To save the configuration file:
1. Activate the TFTP server on your PC (for more information on setting up a
TFTP server, see
Chapter 4
).
2. From the Main Menu> Utilities> File Transfer> TFTP, set the following (for
example):
Server IP Address – 172.17.152.46
Remote File Name – Remote_LRS_16.cfg
File Type – Configuration.
3. Press <S> to save the changes.
4. Select Command> Upload to start uploading the configuration file to a
remote server.
LRS-16 starts file transfer.
