6. Power up the LRS-16 unit. Verify that the PS1 and/or PS2 LEDs in the front
panel are lit.
7. Verify LRS-16 correct startup by observing the state if the PS LED(s) are as
follows:
On (Green) – power supply is on
On (Red) – power supply is not connected to the mains
Off – power supply is off.
Configuring the Local LRS-16
This section explains how to configure LRS-16. When the process is completed,
the configuration file is transferred to the LRS-16 unit.

for explanation of how to select management options and
save the changes.
Accessing LRS-16
Usually, initial configuration of the management parameters is performed via an
ASCII terminal or a network management station (NMS). Once the LRS-16 host IP
parameters are set, it is possible to access it via Telnet, ConfiguRAD, or RADview
(a network management station – NMS) for operation configuration.
³ To access LRS-16:
1. Connect your PC to the LRS-16 CONTROL port.
2. Set your terminal emulator with the following parameters:
• Baud rate – 9,600
• Data bits: – 8
• Stop bits – 1
• Parity –None
• Flow control – None
3. Set the terminal emulator to VT100 emulation for optimal view of system
menus. If you are using HyperTerminal, set the terminal mode to 132-column
