Application Tutorial
This chapter describes how to build a typical application using an LRS-16 and
ASMi-52 units.
Figure 7-1 illustrates a typical application using an ASMi-52 unit
with LRS-16 on the central site.

The following sections describe how to connect the equipment, configure the
application and run diagnostic tests.
7.1 Equipment List
The following devices are used in the application:
• An LRS-16 unit
• Two ASMi-52 devices
• A PC
• One straight Ethernet copper cable with RJ-45 connectors
• Two straight E1 cables
• One straight E1 cable split in two RJ-45 connectors in one side
• One supervisory terminal copper cable with DB-9 connectors
• One copper cable with 15-pin female DB-15 EXT CLK connectors.
