Running the Local Loopback
The local loopback (LLB) checks the performance of the local ASMi-52 modem,
the local DTE and the connection between them (see
Figure
5-21
). The LLB can
be performed separately on the local and remote modems.
ASMi-52 allows you to set the loopback timeout causing the LLB to deactivate
automatically after the required period of time.
Timeout set to 0 (zero) is endless. Avoid setting timeout to 0 as the local control
is lost during LLB.
