Entering the User Name and Password
Once you have installed the ASMi-52 modems at the central and remote
locations, and have completed the installation and operation procedures
described in
Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 , you can start a control session.
You have to enter a user name and password in order to start the ASMi-52
management software (see
Figure 4-42 and Figure 4-43 ).

³ To enter the user name and password:
1. Type in your user name and press <Tab>.

You can leave the user name field empty (default), the default password is 1234.
2. Type in your password at the > prompt (up to eight characters).
ASMi-52 responds to your entry with asterisks.
3. Press <Enter>.
The Main menu is displayed (see
Figure 4-44 and Figure 4-45 ).
