The auto negotiation administrative status.
Auto-negotiation is used to automatically select the mode providing the highest possible
traffic handling capability by carrying out an automatic handshaking procedure that
coordinates the LAN port operation with that of the other equipment connected to the
LAN port.

Select a specific operating mode and data rate. The selected values determine the LAN
port operating mode in the following circumstances:
• When auto-negotiation is disabled
• When auto-negotiation is enabled, but the auto-negotiation process cannot be
carried out, for example, because no operational equipment is connected to the LAN
port
10BASE-T: half duplex mode
10BASE-T: full duplex mode
100BASE-TX: half duplex mode
100BASE-TX: full duplex mode.
