Data Port Configuration 4-17
Table 4-7. AAL1 Stream Interface Parameters (Cont.)
Parameter Remarks
RTS DCD Indicates if the bits CtsCd (Clear-to-Send Carry-Detect) are being checked. In AMCD,
CTS is also checked.
You can select two options related to the flow control signals included in the data port
interface:
• Ignore the DCD and RTS signals: in this case, the data path to the far end is always
open.
• Obey the DCD and RTS signals: in this case, the data path to the far end opens only
when the RTS signal received from the local terminal is asserted (the local terminal
indicates that it has data to send), or the far end sends data (DCD output in the local
data port is then asserted).
When the physical interface is not x.21, the values are:
Off: RTS=Ignore, DCD=Off, Ignore RTS DCD Off
Off: RTS=Obey, DCD=Off, Obey RTS DCD Off
On: RTS=Obey, DCD=On, Obey RTS DCD On
On: RTS=Ignore, DCD=On, Ignore RTS DCD On
When the interface is x.21, the list of values are:
Off: C=Ignore, I=Off, Ignore RTS DCD Off
Off: C=Obey, I=Off, Obey RTS DCD Off
On: C=Obey, I=On, Obey RTS DCD On
On: C=Ignore, I=On, Ignore RTS DCD On
Clock Polarity Specifies the relative clock polarity, for compatibility with user-equipment interface
characteristics
• Normal: Clock falling edge occurs in the middle of the bit interval
Inverted: Clock rising edge occurs in the middle of the bit interval
Loopback Testing
To configure Data Port - AAL1 Stream interface loopback testing:
1. In the LA-110 Node Draw, select the Data port, right-click and select Configure
> AAL1 Stream Interface > Loopback Test.
