6.4 CES to CES Paths
The first step in CES path creation is verifying that both CES endpoints have an
identical physical layer setting. .
Unframed E1s cannot be created in the 5620 Path Creation form.
The time slot (TS) numbering in the standard 5620 shelf view is displayed below the
TS row. (Note that this may be confusing because there also sequential numbering
above the TS row). When the Line Type is with no multi-framing (no CAS), note that
TS 31 is positioned after TS 15 and TS 16 is positioned right after it.
The CES path can be created with a minimum of three timeslots
To configure a path between two E1 CES ports:
1. Right-click on the Entire Network Map and select
Create > ATM and TDM > Paths > ATM > VCC.
The new ATM VCC path form opens, in which you can specify the path
endpoints.
