CES Path Parameters
AAL1 Type Defines the type of connection that will be created
• CES: (default value) The circuit emulation service (CES) enables the transmission of
constant bit rate (CBR) data over the ATM network, in accordance with the ATM
Forum Circuit Emulation Service Interoperability Specification. CES uses AAL1. LA-110
supports both the structured and unstructured service modes.
• DBCES: DB-CES enables better utilization of available uplink bandwidth by using the
voice channel activity information carried by the signaling bits of the port to request
uplink bandwidth when the channel is active (off-hook), and release the bandwidth
when the channel is idle (on-hook). The cell structure depends on the framing mode
selected by the user (E1, T1 using SF framing or T1 using ESF framing).
• Transparent: This mode uses the unstructured CES mode defined in ATMF
specification AF-VTOA-0078.000. In this mode, LA-110 handles the port payload as a
single 64 kbps bit stream which is transparently transported over the ATM connection,
without any assumptions regarding the framing.
AAL1 Signaling The CES Cas.
Yes, No
Continuity
Check
The VCC admin status.
Off Two Way (down), On Two Way (up), On-source, On-sink
• Read-only
Parity Controls the use of pointer parity when using the Structured or Structured with Pointer
connection type
• Off - Pointer parity generation and checking disabled.
• On (defalult value) - Pointer parity bit generation at the transmit side, and checking of
parity bit for error detection at the receiving side enabled.
The field is disabled if the AAL1 type is transparent..
DBCES Parameters
The following field is disabled if the AAL1 type is not DBCES.
Signaling Type The ATM CES signaling type
E&M/PLAR, FXO-Loop Start, FXS-Loop Start, FXO-Ground Start, FXS-Ground Start, R2,
Other
The following fields are enabled only if Signaling Type is Other.
