4-50 CES E1 Port Configuration
Table 4-25. CES E1 Port Parameters
Parameter Remarks
Port The selected port
CES E1
Read-only
Type The protocol application which runs above the physical port.
E1
Read-only
Line Type Indicates the variety of DS1 Line implementing this circuit. The type of circuit affects the
number of bits per second that the circuit can reasonably carry, as well as the
interpretation of the usage and error statistics.
E1, E1-CRC, E1-MF, E1-CRC-MF, E1 Unframed
The NMS must check in the CES table if there is a connection with signaling (active or
not). If there is at least one connection which is ‘basic’ then the available options
include: E1-MF, E1-CRC-MF
Also, NMS must check that there is no Bundle that uses time slot 16. If there is one
bundle present, then the available options include: E1, E1-CRC, and E1 Unframed.
Line Code Describes the variety of Zero Code Suppression used on this interface, which in turn
affects a number of its characteristics.
HDB3, AMI
Signaling Mode The signaling mode.
None: there are No bits are reserved for signaling on this channel.
Bit Oriented: the E1 Channel Associated Signaling is in use.
Read-only
Disabled for Line Type = Unframed
Rx Sensitivity
(dB)
Determines the maximum attenuation of the receive signal that can be compensated for
by the E1 interface receive path, to obtain the BER performance required by the
standards.
12…30
Restore Time Used to change the frame synchronization algorithm, to reduce the time required for the
E1 port to return to normal operation after local loss of synchronization.
CCITT: algorithm, to reduce the time required for the ln accordance with ITU-T Rec.
G.706.
Fast (1 sec): after one second
AT & T TR-62411 (10 sec): after 10 seconds
Disabled for Line Type - Unframed
