5.2. Initial Network Setup

In order to acquire the IP address automatically, follow the steps:

Windows 7 (For Windows XP and Windows Vista see 5.8. Reference)

Step 1: Click the Start button and select Control

Panel.

Step 2: Click Network and Internet

Step 3: Click Network and Sharing Center.

Step 4: Click View status of Local Area

Connection.

Step 5: Click Properties and a caution pop-up

window will appear. Click OK.

Step 6: Select Internet Protocol Version 4

(TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.
