FlexView for Welding
and Weld Prep/Grinding
The FlexView system combines eye
and face impact protection (ANSI
Z87.1-2003) (for both welding and
non-welding activities) with a slim,
lightweight, powered air purifying respirator. For chipping,
grinding, or preparation, the user simply lifts up the spring-
mounted Speedglas
filter assembly. The spring holds the auto-
darkening filter securely on top of the helmet, giving the welder
a clear view through the clear polycarbonate faceshield that
meets the high impact test requirements of ANSI Z87.1-2003.
Note: Not for paint spraying of flammable substances,
or where intrinsic safety is required.
Note: Because faceshields and welding shields can be raised
from the normal position, ANSI Z87.1-2003 states that safety
glasses must be used in conjunction with these respirators.
