• Before first use a protective layer or “patina” must be built
up in the pan to prevent food burning. So pour a 3 mm high
layer of oil into the pan and heat it until it begins to smoke
a little. Remove the pan from the heat and allow it to cool
down. Repeat this process three times re-using the same
oil.
When handling this product extra care is required!
• Never leave the hot pan unattended!
• If using a gas cooker ensure that the flame does not creep
up the sides of the pan as this could set the oil ablaze.
• Children should not be given access to this product.
• Only appropriate types of quality oil or fat should only
be used.
• In order to prevent spitting, water should never come into
contact with hot oil in the pan.
Never try to put out burning oil with water: instead tackle
the flames by covering the pan with a lid or a fire blanket.
After heating up oil, allow the pan to cool down while keeping
a vigilant eye on it. Afterwards empty the oil and wipe the pan
clean using kitchen paper.
