Before first use a protective layer or “patina” must be built
up in the pan to prevent food burning. So pour a 3 mm high
layer of oil into the pan and heat it until it begins to smoke
a little. Remove the pan from the heat and allow it to cool
down. Repeat this process three times re-using the same
oil.
When handling this product extra care is required!
Never leave the hot pan unattended!
If using a gas cooker ensure that the flame does not creep
up the sides of the pan as this could set the oil ablaze.
Children should not be given access to this product.
Only appropriate types of quality oil or fat should only
be used.
In order to prevent spitting, water should never come into
contact with hot oil in the pan.
Never try to put out burning oil with water: instead tackle
the flames by covering the pan with a lid or a fire blanket.
After heating up oil, allow the pan to cool down while keeping
a vigilant eye on it. Afterwards empty the oil and wipe the pan
clean using kitchen paper.
