CONNECTING THE GAS TO THE BURNER SYSTEM
1. Turn OFF the fi replace gas supply.
2. Center the burner assembly in the fi replace. Make
certain that no part of the assembly protrudes beyond
the face of the fi replace.
3. Attach the large adapter fi tting of the fl ex connector kit
to the gas-supply line using pipe compound resistant
to propane gas or Tefl on tape. Tighten the connection.
Connect one end of the fl ex connector to the large
adapter, and the other end to the elbow connector on
the burner assembly (see appropriate fi gure to right).
Never use pipe compound or Tefl on tape on the fl are
fi ttings of the fl ex connector.
4. Make sure that the control valve on the assembly is
in the OFF position (see next page). Turn on the gas
to the fi replace and check for leaks at all connections
by using a soapy water solution.
Note: Never use an open fl ame to check for leaks.
ATTACHING THE BURNER PLATE TO THE FLOOR
Two securing holes are provided in the front portion of
the baseplate assembly of the G9 burner (Fig. 13-4)
for securing it to the fi replace fl oor in a mobile home or
as required by the installation or inspector. To secure
the burner, center it properly in the fi replace and secure
with bolts or other appropriate fasteners (not provided).
Note: If you have a manufactured fi replace, check
with the manufacturer before drilling holes in the
fi replace fl oor.

specifi cally approved with this appliance may result in
