LOG PLACEMENT
WARNING: Failure to position the parts in accordance with
these instructions, or failure to use only parts
specifi cally approved with this heater, may result
in property damage or personal injury.
Each log has a number engraved in the back to aid in the log
placement procedures.
1. Place the rear log #1 on the back of the ODS mounting
bracket so that the ODS cover fi ts into the cut-out of the
bottom of the log (Fig.
20-1). Slide the rear log forward until
it sets into position. The rear log is designed with a notch to
maintain the minimum distance between the bottom logs.
2. Center the front log #2 (left to right) on the grate (Fig.
20-2).
The log has a small bottom-rear notch that aligns onto a
tab on the left of the grate to assist in proper positioning.
3. Position the middle logs #3 and #4 on top of the bottom
logs. Locate the logs so that they fi t into the notches found
on the bottom logs (see Fig.
20-3).
4. Position the top logs #5 & #6 on top of the middle logs.
Locate the logs so that they fi t into the notches found on
the middle and bottom logs (see Fig.
20-4).
5. Position the top center log #7 on the center of the log set.
Locate the log so that it fi ts into the notches found on the
middle and bottom logs (see Fig.
20-5).
After setting the logs into position as described above, ensure
each is properly and fi rmly seated. The vent-free gas log set will
not function as intended if the logs are not correctly positioned.
When placed properly, the fl ames will not strike any portion of
the logs. Periodically check the positioning of all logs to ensure
proper log placement and stability. If any fl ame is striking the
logs, recheck log placement. Adjust to conform with instructions.
There should be no fl ame impingement on the logs.
DECORATIVE MEDIA ON FIREPLACE FLOOR

If purchased; spread the decorative media on the fl oor of the

LOG PLACEMENT
CAUTION: BURN HAZARD. LOGS WILL REMAIN HOT

maintain the log layout as shown to ensure
proper operation of the burner system. If you
need to reposition any log to maintain the
