FAN ASSEMBLY CLEANING
The fan assembly MUST be cleaned annually to remove
lint, dust, and any debris / build up. It is mounted to the rear
of the insert.
Note: Removal of the insert fi rst requires removal of the
screen and surround/eyebrow pieces.
1. Remove the insert from the fi replace.
2. Remove the 4 securing hex screws and the rear panel
(fan assembly attached) using a

/

" nut driver or
equivalent. See Fig. 55-1.
3. Slightly lift the panel up, then pull the panel and fan
assembly out of the unit (see Fig. 55-2 and 55-3).
4. Vacuum the fan assembly, ensuring to remove all debris
/ build-up.
5. Re-install the fan assembly by fi rst dropping in the bottom
of the panel, then lifting up into place (see Fig. 55-4).
Use the screws to re-fasten the panel.
6. Re-install the insert.
CAUTION: Ensure all interior components of the insert
(i.e. decorative media, panels) remain in
their proper position after re-installing the
insert (due to movement). Adjust if needed.
7. Be sure to properly re-install all appliance components.

your appliance from natural gas to L.P. or vice versa. Contact
your dealer for ordering information.
