®
Acid Test Kit
QwikCheck® is ideal for preventive maintenance checks
and for verifying proper acid clean up. The
QwikCheck®
indicator paper is golden yellow before testing and
will turn pink or red upon being exposed to as little as
1 part per million (PPM) of acid.
Perform a Qwik acid test on operating systems. Ideal
for preventative maintenance checks or for verifying
proper acid clean-up after a compressor burn-out /
change-out.
 2-Second Refrigeration Acid Test
 Tests to ARI-700 limit of 1 PPM
 Tests for Inorganic Acid
(including POE)
 Meets EPA Venting Rules
Directions:
1. Insert the valve core depressor into the center of the suction side of the vapor service
valve while the system is operating.
2. Allow vapor to ow through the
QwikCheck® for 2-seconds. If the indicator paper does
not change color, hold for another 2-seconds. If the indicator paper still does not change
color, inorganic acid was not detected.
3. If the indicator paper changes color slightly, add
QwikShot® to remove the acid. If the
paper turns red, the acid level is very high. Change the oil and the lter-drier, and then
add
QwikShot®.
