Maintenance
Major maintenance check
QWIC advises you to submit your electric bicycle to a
major check-up at least once a year.
The points below are addional to normal maintenance
check:
□ Disassemble the chain and cassee, degrease,
lubricate and assemble back together
□ Disassemble the hubs, clean, grease again and
assemble and adjust again as original
□ Check the spoke tension (possibly stretch them up)
and aim the wheels straight
□ Check the res and adjust the re pressure
□ Disassemble the bracket axis, clean, grease again
and assemble back together
□ Check the cranks and pedals and adjust when
necessary.
□ Disassemble derailleur wheels, clean, grease again
and assemble back together
□ Disassemble the inner gear and brake cables, clean,
grease again with the right grease soluons and
assemble back together
□ Check the gears and lubricate the shiers
□ Check the brakes and lubricate the levers
□ Check and lubricate the lock
□ Check and lubricate the kick stand
□ Check the lighng and adjust when necessary
□ Disassemble the head set, clean, grease (when
necessary) and assemble back together and adjust
when necessary
□ Disassemble the steer stem, clean, grease again
and assemble and adjust again as original
□ Disassemble the seat post, clean, grease again and
assemble and adjust again as original
□ Check the saddle
□ Provide the bicycle with a protecon (wax) layer
□ Take a test drive to check all funcons
