Known Problems

The following problems are currently known to exist:

Encoder:

1. Lip synchronization may drift when recording large MP4 files in the current release. To

avoid this problem, select TS video file format. (This issue does not affect IP streaming

or MPEGTS file format.)

2. Scaling from 1080i input to Half-D1 or CIF resolutions on the encoder in MPEG2

encoding is not supported.

Decoder:

1. Closed Captioning is not yet supported, but is planned for a future release.

2. Genlock may initially cause the output frequency to drift away from the actual

frequency until the Genlock mechanism acquires a lock on the signal, possibly causing

some video artifacts during startup. A work-around is to set the Genlock setting to

Strict or Off.

Transcoding:

1. Is not supported for ASI output.

2. Is no longer supported and available upon request only.

3. Supported for ASI to IP on the QVENC only with the optional ASI daughter card.
