10.1 POLYCOM END OF LIFE AND LIMITED INTEROPERABILITY TESTING
NEC appreciates the loyalty of its long-standing customers, many of whom have some of the
earliest versions of Polycom handsets. While these have been excellent devices in operation,
it becomes difficult to continue to deliver support for devices which are no longer sold and may
be reaching service discontinuation by their original manufacturer. NEC will continue to do its
best to provide the last supported firmware with 3C release, but the level of testing of these
devices will be reduced. Beginning with this 3C release (7.0.1) NEC has done limited
interoperability testing on the devices listed in the table below. NEC plans to discontinue
interoperability testing for these devices on 3C software released after version 7.1. With the
upcoming version 8.0 release, 3C will no longer support any of the below phones.
