®
OVERVIEW
All Tenor gateways that include COT and Station analog ports provide Power Fail Transfer to
the analog stations on the gateway.
In addition, survivable gateways (SG) provide SIP Proxy capability in the event that
communications is lost with the 3C server, thus allowing SIP phones to register with the
gateway and utilize any trunk ports on that gateway, including digital trunks (T1/E1/ISDN-PRI)
for emergency calling. The following quantities of IP Phones can fail over to the Survivable
(SG) Quintum gateways based on the Quintum Series of gateway being used:
 AF Series Survivable Gateways (SG) support up to 50 IP Phone Failover per gateway
 AX Series Survivable Gateways (SG) support up to 100 IP Phone Failover per gateway
 DX Series Survivable Gateways (SG) support up to 120 IP Phone Failover per gateway
Note, when using Quintum gateways with Sphericall/3C Version 6.3 for an analog connection
to DuVoice, you must install the SMDI Patch available through NEC NTAC or for download
within the NEC Information Portal under NEC 3C Folder within NEC Downloads. This patch
provides integration between the Quintum Gateways and the DuVoice application. This patch
is not necessary with version 6.4 or later.
