PRODUCT USE
QUIKRETE
®
Polyurethane Construction Adhesive is suitable for
bonding materials which have dissimilar coefficients of expansion.
QUIKRETE
®
Polyurethane Construction Adhesive has excellent
adhesion to concrete, masonry, stucco, pre-painted metal, glass,
plywood, aluminum, steel and many plastics and composites. Typical
applications include:
• Repairing broken concrete
• Fastening wood panels to drywall, concrete or masonry
SIZES
QUIKRETE
®
Polyurethane Construction Adhesive is available in 10.1
oz (300 ml) tubes
YIELD
Each 10.1 oz (300 ml) tube can be applied to approximately 12 lineal
feet (3.7 m) in a 3/8” (10 mm) bead
TECHNICAL DATA
QUIKRETE
®
Polyurethane Construction Adhesive meets ASTM C
920, Type S, Grade P, Class 25, Use T, M, G, A , O; Federal
Specification TT-S-00230C, Type I, Class A; CSA CAN/CGSB 19.13-
M87. Meets California Air Resources Board 2008 requirements for
volatile organic compound (VOC) content.
QUIKRETE
®
Polyurethane Construction Adhesive, when tested in
accordance with standard procedures, provides typical results as
listed in Table 1.

INSTALLATION
NOTE: It is recommended that gloves be worn during application.
QUIKRETE
®
Polyurethane Construction Adhesive is difficult to
remove from skin and clothing. If adhesive gets on skin, immediately
wipe off with a dry cloth.
APPLICATION
Remove dirt, oil, moisture and/or old adhesive. Sand or grind if
necessary to expose a sound surface. Cut plastic tip to desired size
and puncture airtight seal at base of tip. Using a caulk gun, apply
caulking to one of the surfaces to be bonded. Force adhesive into
gaps or cracks and smooth bead to desired shape. Be certain to fill
all gaps when working on rough surfaces. QUIKRETE
®
Polyurethane
Construction Adhesive will bridge gaps up to 3/8” (9 mm) wide. It
may be necessary to use mechanical fasteners to hold the surfaces in
place until the adhesive is fully cured.
CLEANING
Tools and excess adhesive should be cleaned while product is still
uncured, using a commercial solvent such as xylene or toluene.
Wear appropriate gloves when handling solvents. Cured adhesive
must be removed by mechanical means such as a razor knife.
CURING
QUIKRETE
®
Polyurethane Construction Adhesive will be tack-free in
90 minutes at 75
o
F (24
o
C) and 50% relative humidity, and fully cured
in 5-8 days. Low humidity, cooler temperatures and non-porous
substrates will lengthen these times.
PRECAUTIONS
Apply between 40
o
F (5
o
C) and 95
o
F (35
o
C). Service temperature
(after placing) -40
o
F to 195

o
C). When stored in the
original, unopened containers between 40
o
F (4
o
C) and 75
o
F (24
o
C),
QUIKRETE
®
Polyurethane Construction Adhesive has a shelf life of
approximately 12 months from the date of manufacture. Wear gloves.
