4.2 TWO SPEED WIRING (FOR QC CL-2250/3100/4700/5400/6000/7000)
1. For this installation, you will need a 2 and 3 wire Romex, an 8 Hour Timer, and a HIGH-LOW-OFF
Switch. Using the 3 wire Romex, attach the black wire to the bottom gold screw on the right of
the switch for high speed and attach the red wire to the top gold screw on the right for low
speed. (see Figure 4.2A)
2. With a piece of bare copper wire, attach it to the green ground screw on the switch. Using a
wire nut, tie all bare copper wires together with the green ground wire on the timer.
3. Using the included wire nuts, tie the black wire from the 2 wire power source to the black wire
on the timer. Tie the white neutral wire from the 2 wire power source to the white neutral wire
on the timer and the white neutral wire from the fan.
4. Attach the red leg wire from the timer to the gold screw on the right of the switch. Install the
switches and switch plate cover.
