Installation Notes
If there are any problems
with the gain structure,
and feel there is too much
hiss coming from the
speakers within the zone/s
adjustments of the GAIN,
HF and LF controls may be
required.
For each zone where they
may be an issue, check
that the HF and LF adjustments on the rear
panel are at unity. There are separate controls
for Paging, Gain as well as HF and LF.
As a point of reference, adjust both the HF
and LF so that the symbol ‘EDS’ is at the 9.00
position as shown here.
From this point, it is a simple matter of
adjusting both the HF and LF to gain the best
balance of signal to noise.
The level controls on the Q Matrix 88 operate
in 2db steps. It is advisable to make volume
adjustments slowly in order to avoid large
jumps in audio signal.
Connection & Wiring
The RJ45 port is used to communicate
between the remote control panel and the
Matrix, it also will be used to supply power
to the panel within 50 meters. A spare DC24V
input is provided for extra power supply to the
remote control for communication distances
longer than 50 meters. The communication
cable preferred is industry standard CAT5
cable.
Operation
The remote control panel is powered from
the Q Matrix 88 if the distance is < 50 meters
or less. The power indicator will turn blue
which acts as a status indicator to display.
Remote Control Panel and the Matrix are
communicating.

and local input (L)) that can be selected on the
