Default Output Style for PDF Export
This feature provides the option to set any pdf output style as default, which 1
is used as the default pdf output style for any new document. This can be set
in Preferences under PDF tab. Users do not need to set the output style every
time they output a new document.
Now the captured output style also shows the name of the captured output 2
style from which it has been originally created (inherited). This will help the
user to know from which output style the setting has been created and
captured.
Tagged PDF (PDF/UA)
In recent days, the digital publishing practices emphasize the importance of
Accessibility support. There has been demand from the corporate and
government organizations, in response to legislation such as the Americans
with Disabilities Act, and section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. As a
result, industry standards, such as WCAG have been introduced, to allow the
accessibility of information in published forms (both PDF, and websites
containing HTML output), to be certified, ensuring that the published
information is equally accessible to consumers with disabilities that every PDF
published must be accessible. QuarkXPress introduced tagged PDF already in
previous releases, and now it enhances the capabilities to produce PDF/UA
standard. QuarkXPress offers export to PDF with compliance for PDF/UA (ISO
14289) and WCAG 2.0 standard.
