Check Spelling palette
To change the scope of the spell check, choose an option from the Check drop-
down menu. The options are Word, Selection, End Of Story, Story, or Layout.
If you choose the Word option, spell check with check the spelling of the current
word. If you choose the Selection option, spell check will check the spelling of
the text of that selection. If you choose the Story option, spell check will check
the spelling of the entire active story from the current cursor onwards. In case
the cursor is middle of a story, the Check story will spell check from that
position onwards till the end of the story and then spell check from the start of
the story till the current cursor position. Similar to the Story option, the End of
Story option will check the spelling for the active story from the current cursor
onwards, but if the cursor is in the middle of the story, it will only spell check till
the end of the story.
If you choose Layout option, the spell check skips applied master page items
and then checks the master page(s) after checking spelling on all layout pages.
To check spelling in locked text boxes, cells, and paths, check Search Locked
Content. Spell checking always starts from the text insertion point.
To start a spell check, click Start. To start the spell check from the beginning of
the active story, Shift+click Start.
