Easy access to table formatting features directly from the measurements
palette
Measurements palette offer local formatting on Home tab
Contextual to selection — cell, rows, columns or combination for
formatting a selection

properties. Dedicated Table and Cell Tabs in the measurements palette, even
when you are working on the cell’s content.

Support for Table Header and Footer (previously, selecting header rows was
supported only when the table breaks across the pages). Now header and
footer rows can be defined for stand-alone tables as well, without applying
Table Break properties.
