Use the Edit Rule Set dialog box to work with Rule Sets.

Enter a name for the Rule Set in the Name ﬁeld. 6

Select the Rules you want in the Available list and click the button, or click 7

Include All to add all the Rules in the Available list to the active Rule Set.

Click OK. 8

Applying a Rule Set to a layout

Once a Rule Set has been associated with a layout’s Job Ticket template

instance, the layout artist can evaluate the layout against that Rule Set (see

“Evaluating a layout“). You can associate a Rule Set with a layout in two ways.

A job deﬁner will typically add a Rule Set to a layout deﬁnition in a Job Jackets

ﬁle before the actual project and layout are created. Because, a Rule Set is a

Resource, you add it to a layout deﬁnition just as you would any other Resource

(see “Working with Resources: Advanced mode“).
