Create QuarkXPress Project from PDF(Open PDF)

QuarkXPress 2021 gives their users the functionality to directly open PDF/AI

ﬁles as QuarkXPress Project in the application. On opening such ﬁles from the

library, there are various options provided to the user, enter page range to be

opened, open selected pages/all pages, and, check-uncheck Facing page

project. The logged in user can choose a ‘bounding box’ to create a project while

opening a PDF/AI ﬁle as a QuarkXPress Project. Once a designer opens the PDF

ﬁle as an QuarkXPress Project in the application, then the next step is to start

editing the project. The user can edit the objects inside a PDF or AI ﬁle by

converting the same into QuarkXpress Native Objects.

Go to the ﬁle menu and open (Ctrl+O). Then select PDF/AI ﬁle that you want ●

to open on QuarkXPress.

Pages: This option allows choosing page ranges/selected pages/all pages that

you want to open.

Preview: This shows a preview of the selected pages.

Facing Page: You can check/uncheck this option which changes the view so

that two pages are displayed side-by-side.

Once a designer opens the PDF ﬁle as a QuarkXPress Project, it is like any other

QuarkXpress document. Users can Insert new pages, Delete pages and add
