Compress Stream Objects

The purpose of this feature is to reduce the PDF size without compromising the

quality of its contents.

The “Compress Stream Object” option is provided in the compression tab of PDF

output style. By default, it is turned off in all the predeﬁned PDF output styles.

When turned on, the uncompressed stream objects in the output PDF will be

recompressed with lossless Zip (also called flat compression in PDF specs)

compression.

Note:Since there is an additional step of compressing stream objects of the PDF

ﬁle, the overall output time will be increased with this option. The amount of size

reduction will depend on the uncompressed stream objects in the PDF created in

the ﬁrst iteration.
