Stylistic Alternates: This feature replaces the default forms with the stylistic
alternates.
Historical Forms: This feature replaces the default forms with the historical
alternates.
Small Capitals From Capitals: This feature turns capital characters into small
capitals.
Case Sensitive Forms: This feature shifts various punctuation marks up to a
position that works better with all-capital sequences or sets of lining figures;
also changes oldstyle figures to lining figures.
Capital Spacing: This feature allows the user to adjusts inter-glyph spacing
for all-capital text.
Stylistic Sets: This feature replaces the default forms with the stylistic set
variants.
Alternative Fractions: Replaces figure separated by a slash with an
alternative form. Displays a fraction by using a horizontal dividing line (nut
fraction) instead of a slant or slash. It is very useful to write mathematical
expressions. It is available in the Alternate’s subgroup under OpenType
Styles.
Petite Capitals: Some fonts contain an additional size of capital letters,
shorter than the regular small caps to better harmonize with lowercase text
than the taller small caps. This feature turns lowercase characters into petite
capitals. Petite Capitals is available in Capitals subgroup under OpenType
Styles. It will override all the other Capital OpenType features.
Historical Ligatures: This feature replaces the default ligatures and character
combinations with the corresponding historical ligatures. These ligatures
were in common use in the past. Some fonts include the historical forms as
alternates, so they can be used for a ‘period’ effect. It is available in the
Ligature’s subgroup under OpenType Styles.
