Polygons tab of ShapeMaker dialog box
Specify the settings for the polygon:
Type: Choose what type of polygon go create from the drop-down menu. The
controls immediately under this drop-down menu change depending on
what type of polygon is selected.
Regular polygons: Lets you specify how many sides the polygon has.
Stars: In addition to specifying how many sides the polygon has, you can
specify the radius of the space inside the spikes and superimpose a
secondary star at a different size.
Polygrams: Similar to Stars, but instead of specifying a radius, you can
control the way the sides line up with each other with the Point Skip field.
Spirograms: Similar to Polygrams, but creates only an outline.
Random polygons: Lets you create polygons with randomized sides
Golden rectangle: Lets you create a polygon with the golden ratio
(approximately 1:1.618).
Double square: Lets you create a polygon in the shape of two adjacent
squares.
Edges: Lets you control whether the edges of the box are flat or curved. If you
choose an option other than Flat, you can indicate the curvature of the sides
with the Curvature controls. If you choose one of the Swirl options, you can
indicate the direction of the swirl with the Orientation controls.
