Open C:/Program Files/Quark/QuarkXPress 2017. Delete the
"Preferences" folder, if any. (Do not create the Preferences folder again)

Go to Start > Run and type %localappdata%, enter.

Go to the Quark folder. Delete the folder named "QuarkXPress 2017" with all of
its content.

Re-launch QuarkXPress.
If everything runs fine, make a backup of the "QuarkXPress 2017" folder and the
next time you experience issues, you won't need to delete the folder, you can just
replace its content with the backup.
