Overhang Rubi: Use this field to control how far the rubi text can overhang base text that
is unrelated to the rubi text. For more information, see "Rubi overhang options." Note that
this feature is disabled when Base Alignment is set to None.
Base Alignment: Use this field to control how base text aligns with overhanging rubi text.
For more information, see "Rubi base alignment options."
Auto Align At Line Edges: Check this box to automatically align rubi text with the border
of a text box when the rubi text overhangs the base text and touches the edge of the text
box.
Character Attributes tab
The Character Attributes tab of the Rubi dialog box lets you control rubi text formatting.
Use the Character Attributes tab to specify how rubi characters display
The Font, Size, Color, Shade, Opacity, Scale, Track/Sending, Baseline Shift, and Type
Styles controls let you apply basic formatting to the text.
To enable or disable the use of Kana glyphs, check or uncheck Rubi Annotations. These
glyphs are available only in some Japanese OpenType fonts.
Rubi alignment options
The Rubi Alignment options in the Text tab of the Rubi dialog box (Style menu) are:
Left: Aligns rubi text with the left side of base text in a horizontal story.
Centered: Aligns rubi text with the center of base text in a horizontal or vertical story.
Right: Aligns rubi text with the right side of base text in a horizontal story.
Top: Aligns rubi text with the top of base text in a vertical story.
