In Bounding Box to Use: Choose one of the following from the drop-down
menu:
MediaBox: Uses the size of the page, not including space for bleeds or •
registration marks.
CropBox: Uses the size of the page plus space for any specified bleeds and •
space allotted for registration marks. CropBox equals the size of the layout
space from the PDF Boxer XT software standpoint.
BleedBox: Uses the size of the page plus space for bleeds. •
TrimBox: Uses the size of the page after trimming is done. This option does •
not include registration marks and is unaffected by any bleeds applied to the
layout space when the PDF is created.
ArtBox: User will be able to import a pdf with ArtBox bounds specified in •
the PDF.
BoundingBox: With bounding box option user will be able to import pdf •
with bounds cropped to objects of the PDF.
In the Insert Chart section: 5.
Select a chart from the list of available charts in the chosen PDF from the Chart
Name drop-down menu.
Click Open. 6.
To preview a different page of a PDF file in the Import Picture dialog box, check the
Preview check box, and then enter the page number in the PDF Page field.
To find out which page of a PDF file was imported into a layout, display the
Pictures pane of the Usage dialog box (Utilities menu), and then check More
Information.
Create QuarkXPress project from PDF(Open PDF)
QuarkXPress 2021 gives their users the functionality to directly open PDF/AI files as
XPress Project in the application. On opening such files from the library, there are
various options provided to the user, enter page range to be opened, open selected
pages/all pages, and, check-uncheck Facing page project. The logged in user can
choose a ‘bounding box’ to create a project while opening a PDF/AI file as a XPress
Project. Once a designer opens the PDF file as an XPress Project in the application,
then the next step is to start editing the project. The user can edit the objects inside
a PDF or AI file by converting the same into Xpress Native Objects.
Go to the file menu and open (Ctrl+O). Then select PDF/AI file that you want to •
open on QuarkXPress.
