Font Management in QuarkXPress
QuarkXPress 2020 provides a new Font management capability to activate or
deactivate fonts from any location — from any file system or network —
temporarily or permanently. It allows the users to manage their fonts effectively and
at the same time removes the dependencies to any other third party XTensions or
utilities.
Why Do You Need to Manage Your Fonts?
Your fonts are your tools; you need to know where they are, and how and when to
use them. If you have a large collection of fonts, effective font management is
essential.
Problems with mismanaged fonts:
Installing your fonts in the system, font menus in your applications is difficult
to navigate.
Different projects might use different versions of the same font.
Installing new applications can make unexpected changes to your fonts.
Replacing damaged or missing fonts and sorting out duplicate fonts wastes
production time.
