If a Resource has an expander icon, click that icon to expand the Resource, and 2.
then configure the fields that are revealed. Some Resource fields include drop-
down menus, while others allow you to enter values manually.
If a Resource has a button, click that button to create additional instances of 3.
the Resource. For example, when creating a Layout Specification, you can click
this button on the Spot Color Resource to create additional spot colors.
Specifying the location of Resources: Advanced mode
Resources can exist in several locations:
In Jacket: Stored in a Job Jackets structure, but not used in any of that Job
Jackets structure’s Job Ticket templates or Job Tickets.
In Ticket: Stored in a Job Jackets structure and associated with a Job Ticket
template or Job Ticket. If an “In Ticket” Resource is in a Job Ticket template that
is associated with a project, that Resource is also available in the project.
In Project: Stored in a project, but NOT associated with a Job Jackets structure or
Job Ticket.
You can specify the location of Resources as follows:
Access a Resource using the Job Jackets Manager dialog box, as described in 1.
Accessing Resources: Advanced mode.”
Select the Resource in the bottom-right list. 2.
Choose a location from the drop-down menu in the Status column: 3.
If the item selected in the left list is a Job Jackets structure, you can choose
only In Jacket.
If the item selected in the left list is a Job Ticket template or Job Ticket, you
can specify whether or not the Resource is associated with that Job Ticket
template or Job Ticket by choosing In Jacket or In Ticket.
If the item selected in the left list is a project, you can specify whether the
Resource is defined only in the project (Status = In Project) or uses the
definition in the project’s active Job Ticket (Status = In Ticket).
