eBooks

You can create eBooks in two formats:

• ePub eBooks, for eReaders such as the iPad®, Sony® Reader, and NOOK®

• Kindle eBooks, for Amazon® Kindle® eReaders

The process of creating ePub eBooks and Kindle eBooks is very similar. The main

difference is that there are some features available in each format that may not be

available in the others. These differences are described in the topics below.

For information on how to publish an eBook, see A Guide to Digital Publishing with

QuarkXPress.

Options for eBook layouts

To create an eBook project, choose File > New > Project. The New Project dialog box

displays.

Choose ebook (ePub,Kindle) from the Layout Type drop-down menu.
